DAY 02: Munnar Trip

Breakfast at Hotel . Fresh in the cold of Munnar, your journey sets of again to further explorations and experiences.The natural beauty of Munnar is rivaled by none. From the landscapes to the flora and fauna it houses, Munnar is home to some of the best visual treats nature has to offer.

DAY 03: Thekkady- 100kms 3 hrs drive, Experience Periyar Lake and Wildlife Sanctuary

A scrumptious breakfast from Munnar and then you are on your way to Thekkady / Periyar /Kumily - India 's largest Wildlife Sanctuary and a dream destination for any tourist visiting Kerala . The Periyar forests in the area is one of the finest wildlife reserves in the country. The sheer number of the wealth in these forests is staggering. With a whopping 1965 flowering plants that include 171 grass species and 143 orchid species is what constitutes this great treasure house of flora. The number of fauna is even more intimidating and they include 35 species of mammals which includes the Tiger, the Asian elephant, sambar deer, the Indian bison, Indian wild dog, lleopard, smooth-coated otter which can be sighted during a boat cruise in the Periyar Lake. The list is endless and is a sheer testimony to the intimidating majesty y of the great treasure trove of Mother Nature’s best works.

DAY 04: Alleppey houseboat trip- Cruising off the Alleppey backwaters

After breakfast, its goodbye to Thekkady and hello to Alleppey – the Venice of the East. The shores, washed by the silvery waves of the Arabian Sea, lay in wait for you to set on your next journey across the famous Houseboats of Alleppey. Setting out at noon, this cruise lets you enjoy the beautiful villages, paddy fields, shoreline based churches, temples and the day-to-day life of the local folk, who would almost always be busy with their catch of the day. And adding to that, the local flavour you experience is further enhanced by the fact that you would be served with the traditional houseboat lunch prepared for you by the locals.Spending the night over in the houseboat, would definitely give you a night to remember for a lifetime.

DAY 05: Alleppey- Kovalam- 180 km- 5 hrs drive, Kovalam beach and beach resorts

DAY 06: Trivandrum Day Trip- Poovar boating- Napier Museum- Sree Chitra Art Gallery visit exploring the remarkable pieces of history

After a quick breakfast at the Kovalam hotel, it’s time to check out what the state capital has to offer its tourists and you most certainly won’t be disappointed by what you are in for. The city has plenty of attractions for tourists and the best way to kick start it all would be a trip to Poovar where you could go for a nice boating trip. A trip to the Napier Museum and Sree Chitra Art Gallery is well worth your time and you could check out truly remarkable pieces of history here. DAY 07: Drive to Trivandrum for shopping followed by departure

Enjoy a splendid breakfast at your hotel and after checkout it’s time to drive towards Trivandrum for the onward journey. Of course, if time permits, then it would be a great way to say good bye to the place with a shopping trip in the city and when you’re done, drop back at the Airport or the Railway station for your journey back home after saying a last minute goodbye to God’s Own Country which would have given you plenty of memories for you to life time.
